Madison Chiropractor Dr. Douglas Caron

Dr. Douglas CaronDr. Caron’s goal was to be a general practicing chiropractor that dealt with everything except surgery, drugs and obstetrics. The rural setting of Madison allows Dr. Caron to pursue his desire to help patients experience and maintain health and vitality in their life.

Dr. Caron believes that chiropractic is a secret few people understand. Chiropractic “functional health” empowers a patient to achieve their health and lifestyle goals.  Health is not just the absence of disease but a state of balance and happiness.

Welcome to Chiropractic Calling

“I really feel chiropractic chose me. I really wanted to bring healing to all people.”

Dr. Caron began his chiropractic path by studying principles of health and healing. Chiropractic care offers a natural means of healing by focusing on treating disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems.  Dr. Caron finds great happiness in helping his patients heal and enjoy life to its fullest.

Chiropractic Education

Dr. Caron attended Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, MN. He liked the idea of having to learn and be accomplished in the basic sciences. He also enjoyed studying the different techniques to stimulate the body’s own healing response. Embryology and biochemistry are his favorite topics. He’s also intrigued by how the human body is put together.  His favorite experience while attending chiropractic college was being taught one could be out in the Bob Martin Wilderness and if one knew one’s philosophy, art, and science of chiropractic, one could diagnose any condition and decide the best course of action.

Away From the Practice

Dr. Caron has been married for over thirty years to his high school sweet heart. They have three daughters. His daughters all attended the University of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN.

He enjoys being outdoors hunting, fishing, raising quail, training dogs and horses for himself and others. He also enjoys the relaxation of boating and water skiing.

Healthy Lifestyle

Dr. Caron gets adjusted on a consistent basis every three months, with a standing appointment. “If something exacerbates it an adjustment is what is needed to get back to my optimum health.”

He maintains a healthy diet of eating at least three times a day and having good healthy snacks like almonds, vegetables and fruits and exercises about thirty minutes each day. Dr. Caron believes all medical procedures and pills should be used only for emergency basis. The chronic use of these usually leads to worse side effects.
